How to Play Solitaire (Klondike)

Deal 7 tableau columns from the shuffled deck. Only the top card of each column is face-up. Move cards in descending order and alternating colors on the tableau. Build four foundation piles — one per suit — from Ace up to King. Draw from the stock pile when you run out of moves.

About Solitaire

Klondike Solitaire dates back to the Klondike gold rush era in the late 1890s. It became one of the world's most-played games when Microsoft included it in Windows 3.0 in 1990 — originally intended to teach users how to use a mouse. Today it remains a beloved pastime worldwide.

Can every Solitaire deal be won?
No — roughly 79% of Klondike deals are theoretically winnable, but many require optimal play that even experienced players miss.
What is the draw-1 vs draw-3 rule?
Draw-1 flips one card at a time from the stock (easier). Draw-3 flips three cards at once (harder). This game will support both modes.
