How to Play Minesweeper
Click cells to reveal them. Numbers show how many mines are in adjacent cells. Right-click (or long-press on mobile) to flag a cell you think contains a mine. Clear all non-mine cells to win!
- Left click — reveal a cell
- Right click / long press — flag/unflag a mine
- Numbers (1–8) show adjacent mine count
- Empty cells auto-reveal surrounding safe cells
- Beginner: 9×9, 10 mines | Intermediate: 16×16, 40 mines | Expert: 16×30, 99 mines
About Minesweeper
Minesweeper dates to the early 1960s but became world-famous when Microsoft bundled it with Windows 3.1 in 1992. It was designed to help users learn mouse skills. Minesweeper remains one of the best-known puzzle games ever made.
